Gary Honess has had a busy run in the professional music industry since 1993. Growing up, he studied classical piano, the trombone and computer science. In his mid-teens, his love for music and electronics took him to the dance floors where DJ'ing became his new found passion. After travelling through many night clubs in North America, Gary settled down in Toronto & began his career as an assistant audio engineer. He got his first big break 1 year later working on the soundtrack for the Oscar nominated film "The Sweet Hereafter". After honing his skills for a few more years, he later became the house engineer for Number 9 Studios in Toronto. There he provided services of post-production, mixing, mastering & education. Years later he made the decision to go freelance & has since been credited for engineering on 2 Juno Award winning albums. Gary continues to freelance in North America, finding a new home at Q Music Studios, Toronto, where he is proud to work with the many talented artists that pass through there.
